One cookie, and it remembers your currency

The one cookie

Office Studio sets one cookie, named market. It holds one of two values, gb or us, and that value decides whether the enquiry form asks your budget in pounds or in US dollars. The site publishes no prices. It lasts until you close your browser.

It is set only when a page is opened with a market parameter in its address, and at no other time. No page on this site links to such an address; the parameter is there so the studio can check the other market’s form. It carries no identifier, no record of the pages you read and nothing you typed into a form. This site reads it and nothing else does.

Why this cookie is used

The cookie remembers the market requested in the page address. Without it, the next page would choose a market again from your location.

It does not profile you, it does not follow you to another site, and it is used for nothing but choosing which figure to print.

What else is stored on your device

Three more values are kept by your browser and sent nowhere. None identifies you, and all three exist only to honour something you did.

• os-theme. Set when you use the light and dark control in the header, so the site opens in the mode you chose. Kept until you clear your browser storage.
• os.entered. Set when you cross the entrance, so you are not shown it again on every page. Cleared when you close the tab.
• os.entered.at. The time you last crossed the entrance, used to avoid showing it again when you return within 30 minutes. Kept until you clear your browser storage.

What those values are used for

All three exist purely to carry out an action you took: choosing a mode, and going into the site. None is used to profile you, none follows you to another site, and none leaves your browser.

The typeface is served from this site, so your browser does not contact an external font service. Enquiry details are passed to Resend and Workbench by our server after you press send.

Removing them

Clearing site data for officestud.io in your browser settings removes all four. The site works normally afterwards: it follows your system's light or dark setting again, shows you the entrance once more, and picks the enquiry form’s currency by the country you are reading from.

If this changes

If Office Studio ever adds analytics or anything else that stores information for its own purposes, this page changes first, the date at the bottom changes with it, and consent is asked for where consent is owed. Questions to hello@officestud.io.
