Who you are dealing with.
This page says who operates Office Studio, what this website is and is not, and the basis on which work is carried out.
The operator
Office Studio is a trading name of Peter J. Roch, a sole trader.
Trading address: 86 to 90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom.
Contact: hello@officestud.io.
Office Studio is not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged on any price shown on this site or on any invoice issued.
What this website is
A description of a studio and the work it does. Nothing on it is an offer capable of acceptance, and submitting the enquiry form does not create an engagement or oblige either of us to enter one.
An engagement begins when a written agreement for a specific piece of work is in place and the first invoice is settled.
Prices
An Office Review is £2,500. The Working Website starts at £12,000 and typically runs 8 to 12 weeks.
Prices on this site are current at the date below and may change for future engagements. The price agreed in writing for your engagement is the price for that engagement, and it does not move underneath you.
How engagements work
Every engagement is set out in its own written agreement covering scope, price, schedule, what we each need to provide, and what happens if either of us wants to stop. Where this page and that agreement differ, the agreement governs.
Office Studio is led directly by PJ Roch. Specialist collaborators are brought in where the scope requires them, and we remain responsible to you for their work.
What you provide
Work of this kind depends on access and on decisions. That means the material and systems agreed at the outset, and someone able to decide.
Where those do not arrive, timelines move. We will say so at the time rather than absorb it quietly and deliver late.
Ownership
On final payment, the work made specifically for you is yours: the designs, the code written for your project, and the documents produced during it.
Studio methods, internal tooling and anything pre-existing remain ours, and you have the right to keep using them as part of what was delivered. Third-party software keeps its own licence, and we will tell you where that applies before it is built in.
Responsibility
We do our work with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise particular commercial outcomes, because those depend on decisions and conditions outside a studio's control, and any studio promising otherwise is guessing.
Neither of us is liable to the other for loss of profit, loss of business or indirect loss. Our total liability for an engagement is limited to the fees paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
This website's content
The text, drawings and code on officestud.io belong to Office Studio, except where stated. You are welcome to quote from it with attribution. You may not reproduce it wholesale as your own.
The site is provided as it is. We keep it accurate and available, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free.
Law
These terms and any engagement are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
